GPP Crusade No. 41: Grid Lock

Look what can be done with monoprinted and stamped card stock!

Paper was monoprinted for a previous crusade. I added the text, butterflies and flowers with stamps using metallic ink and distress ink. A spritz of water blurred the distress ink.

Detail of the stamped paper.

"Tiles" were formed with square punch and adhered to white card stock.

Another monoprint that was stamped with text and circle patterns using distress inks.

Close up of tiled paper.

This paper mosaic was used to decorate a Fathers' Day card.

Once again the creative genius of Michelle Ward has resulted in a fun challenge. Go to the crusade page for Michelle's instructions.
You should really try this. It's lots of fun. I have ideas for more of these adding more layers with some of my monoprinted tissue.

Gorgeous Regina. I luv the blues & golds of the first one. The mosaic is very effective & a great idea for male card.

Hi Regina, thank you for leaving a comment at my blog... I'm happy to see you did the crusade too, it's been fun for me finding all this artwork. Your grids are beautiful and they make me feel peaceful. They have some kind of smooth movement for my eyes. Happy creations, tj in germany

Regina - these are stunning! I can hear your enthusiasm :) I love how you finished off your monoprints with stamped details, then cut them up for the grids. Such interesting and different effects with both grids - changing the space of the *gutter* between. Great stuff - thanks for sharing with the team.

Tiled paper is getting famous. I've been in an art exhibit and I saw lots of tiled paper arts. It is very amazing. I love your tiled paper.

What a great idea! I do have a self imposed moratorium on spending money on art supplies this year, but those punches sound like fun ...

Absolutely wonderful. Both are gorgeous.

Great pieces - don't you love being able to justify keeping everything by reusing something, at some time! That's what mixed media arts is all about!

great pieces indeed! love especially how the grid rearrangement added so much interest to the bottom piece!

These are lovely; I really like the tile effect you achieved with these. Isn't it great that you had materials from a previous Crusade that you could use...there's nothing beats a wee stash of supplies huh?
