This is what I was thinking as I toasted a sesame bagel and pulled the red tag that opened a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese. I think of it as "La Vache Qui Rit" because I first tasted this product when I was in high school French class. It's a French product and the label was in French. Now it's widely available with an English label.
It suddenly occurred to me that this would be a perfect topic to journal and follow the prompt for this month's Green Pepper Press Crusade. I already had plenty of thoughts to write down, I had ephemera to collage. Here's what I did:
If you want to try this cheese, this is what the package looks like:

Yummy cheese! I'll have to get my hands on some of this!
Lovely journal page!
xo
regina - love this "evidence" page. capturing your thoughts with the label attached, great way to make a page. thanks for sharing with the team. the cheese looks good - a long way from velveeta :)
Great journaling subject! Who knew where a bagel and cheese would send you! I have had that cheese before...now I know the French twist, it makes it a little bit fancier! Nice work.
LoL I love it! This is the sort of tangent I'm prone to. Great idea to journal it!
very fun. i've always loved the phrase "how now brown cow!" :-)
cheese . . . yummmm. thanks for sharing. lovely post.
happy easter to you and your family, regina.
Ah ! I can't resist to this one ! In France it's a very popular cheese, the one kids eat, and as it's a very old product (1921) everyone in France ate it once at least. We have a trick about this too, why is she laughing ? They even made a website with sometimes ago, removed now, but you can see the package of it in France here :http://www.lavachequirit.com/la-vache-rouge/fr/tout-sur-la-vache-2/la-saga/galerie-star-aux-mille-visages.html
the website is in French, it's the official one.
I had a great fun reading your page ! Congrats for the idea !
Cecile, in France
My theory is that the cow is laughing because it is a dairy cow and not a beef cow. That's bound to make her happy! I love LC cheese and I have saved way too many of those cool round boxes to alter one day. It's neat to see it being journaled about!
What a great layout, a very cool theme. I haven't tried it but shall have to. It's funny what can cause us to create art, the themes come from the strangest places.
yummy- you are making me want some cheese after seeing your RAD pages! Love all the texture your writing gives!
I love the laughing cow. I remember my family getting this cheese when I was a wee one and I loved the packaging so much. I think this is when my love for product design really started.
